Troy Cross Country Closes Season at NCAA South Regional

FLORENCE, Ala. – The Troy men's and women's cross country team finished their 2021 season with a 23rd and 28th place finish, respectively, Friday at the John Hunt Cross Country Park.
On the men's side, Mason Bennett and Blake Vaughn paced the Trojans, finish at 137th and 138th. The duo finished just eight seconds apart from each other in 33:51.83 and 34:00.28, respectively. James Brake rounded out the Trojans top-three finishers, placing 14th with a time of 34:46.14.
The men posted a 23rd-place finish after posting 682 points.
Tanner Guest led the women in a 6K trek with a 147th-place finish in 23:04.40. Tanner Guest and Cadi Rowe rounded out Troy's top-three finishes, placing 154th and 158th.
The women tallied 768 points en route to a 28th place finish.
