Troy Women’s Tennis Closes Out Day Three of ITA Southern Regional

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Highlighted by a Round of 32 doubles win, the Troy Women's Tennis squad closed out day three of the ITA Southern Regional Saturday at the Roberta Alison Baumgardner Tennis Facility.
The duo of Andrea Widing and Anastasiia Khokholva defeated Tulane's Yelamanchili/ Russell, 8-7, to advance to the Doubles Round of 16. However, the pair ultimately fell to Alabama's Parkhomenko/ Sedlackova, 8-4.
After not dropping a set through her first two days of action and fighting through the qualifying rounds to earn a spot in the Main Draw, Michelle Ncube came up short in the round of 32 to LSU's Mia Rabinowitz, 6-2 6-3.
Ncube and her double's partner Olivia Elliott battled in the early morning matches but fell to Ole Miss' Machalova/Fiquet, 8-4. Elliott would also fall in her consolation singles match to in-conference foe Delien Klienhans from South Alabama, 6-2 6-0.

After a week-long hiatus, the Trojans will return to action on Friday, Oct, 29 at the Roberta Alison Fall Classic in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
