Troy Baseball Adds Davis Burgin to 2020 Signing Class

TROY, Ala. – Troy baseball head coach Mark Smartt continues to bolster the Trojans' pitching staff with Wednesday's addition of right-handed pitcher Davis Burgin. Burgin joins the program from Snead State Community College and will have three years of eligibility with the Trojans.
Burgin made four appearances for Snead State during the shortened 2020 season and posted a 1.86 ERA in 9.2 innings. The 6-2, 210-pound righty struck out 13 batters and claimed two results, good for a 2-0 record.
The Trussville, Ala., native helped Trussville High School to a 2016 AHSAA 7A state championship and a 2018 runner-up finish. Burgin lettered in three sports in high school and had scholarship offers for both baseball and football.
