Women's Golf Concludes Play at UNF Collegiate

TROY, Ala. – Nicole Lorup turned in her sixth top-10 finish of the year to lead Troy's women's golf team at the UNF Collegiate which concluded Tuesday at the Jacksonville Golf & Country Club; the Trojans finished 11th in the 16-team field.

Lorup shot a 2-over 74 on her final circuit around the golf course with four birdies, but a triple-bogey and three bogeys pushed her card over the par mark. She finished the two-day, three-round event with an 8-over 224 and in a tie for 10thplace.Â

Elisabeth Preus tied for 32nd place overall after carding a round of 7-over Tuesday and ShaeLee Scarberry tied for 61stplace after an 8-over 80 with a pair of birdies. Ainsley Cowart tied for 65th place following a round of 78 and Anna Claire Little finished in 82nd.

North Florida won the team title by four shots over Seton Hall with Sam Houston State, South Alabama and Western Kentucky rounding out the top five.Â

Troy will be right back at it with a trip to the Lady Cat Invitational at the LPGA International Golf Course in Daytona Beach, Fla., Thursday and Friday.
