TROY, Alabama – Troy football season tickets are now on sale for the 2020 season with The Vet once again playing host to six home games including a visit from NC State. Ticket prices have remained the same for the fourth straight season at The Vet.
Â
"It was extremely important that we kept our season ticket prices the same for a fourth straight season," Athletics Director Brent Jones said. "Our fans have been key contributors in the success of our football program, and it was paramount in our planning for us to maintain ticket prices at The Vet while continuing to enhance the fan experience on gameday. The Vet has been ranked as having the best gameday atmosphere in the Sun Belt due to our great and passionate fans. Over the last few years, we have set all-time highs in season ticket sales and attendance, and with our great home schedule this year, including hosting a NC State, a Power Five team from the ACC, we expect that tradition to continue."
Season ticket packages start as low as $60 for general admission seating and $100 for reserved seats for Troy's six home games at The Vet. Limited North End Zone and Stadium Club seats remain, and fans can reserve their premium North End Zone Tents for specific games or purchase the entire season for the price of just five games.Â
Â
New and renewal ticket purchases can be made by calling 877-878-WINS (9467) or by visiting TroyTrojans.com/tickets.
Â
Additionally, fans can take advantage of a new All Sports Package for the 2020-21 athletic year. For just $150, the All Sports Package will include a general admission ticket for the 2020 football season, 2020-21 basketball season and 2021 baseball season.
Â
Troy opens the season with a pair of home non-conference tilts against Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Sept. 5) and NC State (Sept. 19). It will be the first-ever meeting with Arkansas-Pine Bluff while the visit from NC State will mark the fourth team from a Power Five Conference to play at The Vet – Missouri, Mississippi State and Duke.
Â
The Trojans' Sun Belt home slate will feature games against Georgia State, Coastal Carolina, ULM and Texas State; the league office is expected to announce the full schedule March 1.
Â
The Trojans enter year two under head coach Chip Lindsey with the second most wins by an FBS program in the state of Alabama over the last four seasons and the sixth most among schools in the Group of Five conferences.
Â
Troy returns a pair of All-Americans on defense in junior linebacker Carlton Martial and sophomore safety Dell Pettus, while the offense returns a slew of playmakers from a unit that was one of the best in the country a season ago. The Trojans featured a top-25 scoring offense (33.8 points per game) and top-18 overall offense (456.3 yards per game).Â
Â
The Trojans return three players who caught at least five touchdown passes in 2019 paced by Sun Belt Newcomer of the Year Kaylon Geiger's 77 catches for 873 yards and five scores. Khalil McClain led the group with seven touchdowns while Reggie Todd found the end zone five times. Troy also welcomes back Preseason Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Year B.J. Smith from an injury that cost him most of the 2019 season.
Â
The top four attended seasons at The Vet have come in each of the last four years with an average of 23,753 fans packing the stadium each week, and the Trojans have posted an 18-6 record at home over that stretch.Â
Â
Four of the top five and six of the top 10 attended games in stadium history have come in the last four seasons including a stadium record 29,612 fans to watch the 2019 season opener against Boise State.
Â
Following the overwhelming support from Troy fans in the purchase of Community Hero Tickets the previous two seasons, fans will once again be able to add a Community Hero season ticket to their account for just $8 per game. These tickets will be donated to local charities, underprivileged groups and young organizations.
Â
Monthly payment plans are available on all season ticket purchases (not available for All Sports Package) and the deadline for priority renewals is Friday, May 1. Troy University faculty and staff are eligible for discounts on season tickets in reserved sections.
