Troy Baseball Announces Alumni Weekend

TROY, Ala. – Troy Athletics and the Trojan baseball team have set this year's Alumni Weekend for March 20-22 as the squad hosts Little Rock in a three-game weekend series.
All former players, coaches and managers are invited back to be honored with a weekend full of activities for themselves and their families. Prior to the game on Saturday, March 21, all baseball alumni will be honored on the field with a special recognition. Additionally, all returning baseball alumni and their families will have access to the Guardian Triple Play Patio during Saturday's game with complimentary refreshments.
As part of the weekend, members of the 1985 team that made a DII World Series appearance will be acknowledged. The '85 team won a then-school-record 43 games, a mark that is still tied for fourth all-time in school history. That year, the Trojans hit 87 home runs which is still the fourth-most in a single season in program history.
Also being honored that weekend are the 1995 DI Regional and 2005 A-Sun regular season championship teams. The '95 team made Troy's first regional appearance as a Division I program while the '05 team won 23 out of its 30 A-Sun games en route to the regular season championship that year. That season, the Trojans stole a whopping 132 bases, a mark that is still the second-most in school history.
Returning alumni will be able to request up to four complimentary tickets for immediate family members to attend all three games of the series. Please RSVP in advance to baseball Director of Operations John Rushing at troybaseball@troy.edu.
