TROY, Ala. – Four Troy men's golfers will get a jumpstart on the spring season at the GS Individual Collegiate at the GS Golf Course in Statesboro, Ga. Golfers will play 36 holes Sunday before closing out with 18 holes Monday.
Bryson Bianco, Nicklas Borrmann, Kyle Cornelius and Christopher Taylor will represent the Trojans at the GS Individual Collegiate.
"This is a great opportunity for these four to shake off the rest from the winter and get some competitive rounds under their belts," head coach Bart Barnes said. "There will be some players from some of the top programs in the country at the tournament, so it presents a chance for our guys to see where the stack up heading into a challenging spring schedule."
Borrmann played in three of Troy's five tournaments in the fall and posted a 76.89 stroke average, including a round of 71 in the season opening Sam Hall Intercollegiate. Bianco played five rounds over two tournaments to an average of 76.80 while Cornelius played in one event in the fall. The GS Individual Collegiate will be the Troy debut for Taylor.
