Troy Baseball Announces Fall Schedule

TROY, Ala. – The 2019 Troy baseball fall schedule was announced by head coach Mark Smartt Thursday afternoon. The schedule features a scrimmage at Alabama State, a home scrimmage against UAH, and 22 inter-squad games.
"The fall schedule is set much like the regular season with four games per week, including three each weekend," Smartt said. "The challenge is to compete three days in a row, have an off day and compete on Tuesday."
Fall competition begins with a three game inter-squad series which begins Friday at 6 p.m. at Riddle-Pace Field. Troy's first scrimmage will take place Friday, October 18 at Alabama State at 5 p.m. The Trojans host UAH Sunday, October 27 at 2 p.m.
"The two scrimmage games help identify strengths and weaknesses of our team with the pressure of outside competition," Smartt said. "They also provide our team the opportunity to work through a pre-game format and be challenged by another team, much like a regular season game."
Troy will close out its fall campaign with its annual five-game turf series, beginning Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 6 p.m. at Riddle-Pace Field.
All events at Riddle-Pace Field are free admission. All times are approximate and subject to change.
