The Trojans (5-1) are coming off an undefeated weekend at the Troy Invitational in which they didn't drop a set. Amara Anderson garnered Sun Belt Setter of the Week honors for the second week in a row for her efforts.

Hot Start for Trojan Offense
Troy has proven to be one of the top offensive teams in the Sun Belt this season, ranking first in kills per set (14.15) and assists per set (12.85). Cheyenne Hayes leads the way with 99 kills through six matches played, while Anderson has provided 231 assists.
Serving has been a point of emphasis this season for the Trojans and the improvement has paid off. Troy is fourth in the league in service aces per set (1.50) and have a total of 30 on the season. Natalie Hummel leads the Trojans at the service line with 10 aces this year, tied for the fourth-most in the league.
"We will need our serve and serve receive game to be solid this weekend," Lauer said. "That's been a huge part of our success."
Jeffcoat Anchors Defense
Every offense needs a solid defense to back them up and Lacey Jeffcoat continues to be a force in the back row for the Trojans. The sophomore has registered 67 digs (3.35 DIG/S) for Troy this season, just outside of the top 10 in the conference.
Halston Hillier and Julia Brooks have led the charge defensively at the net, each with 15 total blocks.
"It's our first long road trip of the season and we will be playing some tough competition," Lauer said.
