Gary Wilbert Promoted to Assistant Athletics Director for Development

TROY, Alabama – Gary Wilbert has been promoted to Troy's Assistant Athletics Director for Development, Athletics Director Jeremy McClain announced Tuesday.

Wilbert joined the Troy staff in 2015 as the Director of Development / Trojan Warrior Fund and over that time he has increased Trojan Warrior Fund giving by 416 percent and Trojan Seat License revenue by 45 percent.

"Gary has been a valuable member of the Athletics Department the past four years, and he is more than deserving of this promotion," McClain said. "Gary has a tireless work ethic and has done a tremendous job cultivating and developing relationships with our Trojan Warriors."

Wilbert joined the Troy staff following two years with the Aspire Group Inc., at Louisiana Tech and Towson. He began his career as a sales consultant at Louisiana Tech in 2013 and led the Louisiana Tech FRMC in overall sales, in addition to being the leading sales representative for all of the Conference USA FRMC properties for 10 straight months. Wilbert was promoted to a senior sales consultant at Louisiana Tech before moving into a managerial position at Towson in 2014.
