Men's Tennis Defeats UAB in Regular Season Finale

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Troy Men's Tennis was able to finish the regular season schedule with a win over UAB in a road match, 4-3. The Trojans made an impressive comeback after losing the doubles point at the start of the game.
The Blazers started hot in doubles where they got two points at No.1 and No.3 doubles, while Jiaqi Duan and Pelayo Antuna were able to defeat Giovani Pasini and Tom el Safadi, 6-2. Troy has managed to turn the tables around in the singles play, where the Trojans collected four singles wins to finish the game.
Manuel Bernard and Jiaqi Duan were the first ones to give the Trojans the lead, while Pelayo Antuna defeated Roman Postolka at No.1 spot. With the tie at three all at the end of the game, Antonio Selma clinched his singles win and gave the final point for the team, 6-0, 7-5. The team will travel to Peach Tree City, Ga. to face No.2 seed South Alabama in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament on April 19th. The game is set for 12.30 p.m.
