Trojans Come Up Short Against Georgia Southern

TROY, Ala. – The Troy Men's Tennis fell short against Sun Belt opponent Georgia Southern on the senior day, 4-3. The Trojans were not able to clinch the doubles point and dropped several tough singles matches in the three sets.
The last home game for the Troy Men's Tennis program this season started with a hot start from Georgia Southern side. The Trojans came up short in both of the doubles matches, while the third match remained unfinished.
The team went into the singles play, where Christopher Tasker secured the first win of the day, 6-2, 7-5. At the No.2 spot Pelayo Antuna was able to clinch another point in the two sets against Stefano Di Aloy, 7-5, 7-6. The Trojans were very close to make a comeback and get four needed points in singles, but the last win from Manuel Bernard was not enough, as Jiaqi Duan, Oskar Michalek, and Antonio Selma fell close in a three-set matches.
The Troy Men's Tennis will travel for a midweek match against Jacksonville state on Apr.2. The game will be the preparation before the trip to Sun Belt opponents UT Arlington and Louisiana.
