Statesboro, Ga. – Troy will face the top scoring offense in the Sun Belt Conference in Georgia Southern on Wednesday night inside of Hanner Fieldhouse. Tip is set for 8 p.m. (CT) with the game televised on ESPN2.Â

The Trojans (11-13, 4-8 Sun Belt) are coming off a 77-63 loss to Georgia State on Wednesday night in GSU Sports Arena. Sophomore Javan Johnson led the Trojans with 13 points, a career-high five assists, three rebounds, a pair of steals and a block.Â

Senior Alex Hicks poured in 10 points with five rebounds and a block. Junior Devante Foster added 10 points, beginning the game going a perfect 4-of-4 from the field, alongside four rebounds on the night.

On the season, senior Jordon Varnado leads the Trojans averaging 21.5 points per game, second-most in SBC on 52.6 percent shooting while grabbing 7.8rpg, sixth-most in conference.

Hicks paces the team in rebounds per game (7.8) which is the fifth-most in conference while averaging 12.5 points per game on 54.1 percent (119-220) shooting. Sophomore Darian Adams leads the team in assists per game averaging 3.5.

Georgia Southern cruised past South Alabama, 75-65 on Wednesday night to improve to 15-10 on the season and 7-5 in conference action.

In the game, senior Tookie Brown and freshman Calvin Wishart led the Eagles with 14 points apiece. Brown added eight assists, three rebounds and two steals to his stat line.Â
