Troy Men's Tennis Improves to 3-0

TROY, Alabama - The Troy men's tennis continued its successful winning streak by beating Alabama A&M at home, 7-0, on Friday afternoon. The Trojans have won all three of their dual matches this spring.
The Trojans started the match with two fast doubles wins. Freshman Manuel Bernard and Junior Oskar Michalek defeated their opponents from Alabama A&M at the No. 2 spot, 6-3. Senior Jiaqi Duan and Sophomore Pelayo Antuna won with the same score at the No. 3 spot.
In singles play, the Trojans did not have any trouble as all of the singles wins came in two sets. Antuna and Manuel Bernard have increased their singles winning record to 3-0. Freshman Luis Foix made his first appearance in the singles starting six, as he defeated Rodrigo Avana at No. 5 spot, 6-2, 6-1. Oskar Michalek defeated Nishangan Nadaraja at No. 2 spot, 6-1, 6-4. Christopher Tasker was placed at No. 4 spot and defeated Shakir Elvin, 6-2, 6-1. Antonio Selma was stronger than Chang Chen You, 7-5, 6-2.
