Former Troy Standout Wesley Person Selected in Second Round of NBA G-League Draft

TROY, Ala. -- Former Troy University standout Wesley Person was drafted with the fourth pick in the Second Round of the 2019 NBA G-League Draft by the Maine Red Claws Saturday afternoon.

The only 2,000 point scorer in program history, Person last played in the Italian Serie A2 Division for the Roseto Sharks in 2018-19 where he averaged 17.6 points and 2.5 rebounds in 30 games.

A four-time All-Sun Belt Conference selection, Person concluded his Troy career with 2,063 career-points. For his career, the Brantley, Ala. native averaged 15.9 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists.

The Maine Red Claws begin the 2019-20 campaign on Sat. November 9 at the Delaware Blue Coats. An affiliate of the Boston Celtics, the Red Claws went 19-31 last season.
