Men's Golf Finishes Fourth at Pinetree Intercollegiate, Futrell Ties for Third

Final Results
KENNESAW, Ga. – The Troy men's golf team wrapped its fall campaign with a fourth-place finish at the Pinetree Intercollegiate at the Pinetree Country Club. Connor Futrell tied for third place with a 4-under 212 to lead Troy as play concluded Tuesday.
Jake Tiffin led the Trojans in the final round with a 2-over 74 thanks to a pair of birdies around a relatively clean round that featured a pair of bogeys and one double. Tiffin tied for 14thplace with Brent Hamm at 6-over for the tournament; Hamm was 5-over on the day with three birdies.
Futrell, who finished the fall with a 70.21 stroke average, ran out of steam on the back nine and carded four of his five bogeys in the round. For the first time all season, he did not card a single birdie and shot 5-over on the day.
Will McFadden carded his best round of the tournament with a 3-over 75 thanks to a trio of birdies to tie for 39thplace while Nicklas Borrmann tied for 55thplace. Playing as an individual, Ryan Morrison tied for 34thafter carding a 77 with a birdie.
Jacksonville State climbed from fifth entering the day to first after shooting 3-over as a team. Belmont finished two shots back in second, while Mercer was six shots behind the leader and Troy was seven shots off the pace.
