TROY, Ala. – Gameday is back at The Vet as fans have even more to be excited about in and around the stadium as the defending Sun Belt Champions are back for another season.
Fans are encouraged to visit TroyTrojans.com/Gameday prior to each visit to campus to see the latest information on parking, traffic flow and tickets for each of Troy's home games.
Trojan Talk
Troy's weekly radio show with head football coach Neal Brown and "Voice of the Trojans" Barry McKnight airs live Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m. on the Troy Sports Radio Network. Fans in Troy can catch the show live at Santa Fe Cattle Company and enjoy half-priced appetizers and drink specials.
Downtown Troy Friday Night Party
12Eleven will perform live on the Square in Downtown Troy from 7-10 p.m. on Friday.
Troy Kids Zone Presented by Marble Slab Creamery and Great American Cookies
The Troy Kids Zone Presented by Marble Slab Creamery and Great American Cookies opens at 10:30 a.m. and is located in the outfield of Riddle-Pace Field. Children of all ages are invited to take part in the fun with free inflatables until 2 p.m. Additionally, all members of T-Roy's Team will also be able to check in and receive their membership packets and t-shirts.
Trojan Walk
Troy's traditional pre-game march into Veterans Memorial Stadium, Trojan Walk, will begin at the intersection of University Avenue and George Wallace Drive. The Trojans will walk through the brick portal into Tailgate Terrace before entering the stadium at Gate 1. Trojan Walk will begin at 12:15 p.m. for the Coastal Carolina game and representatives from the US Armed Forces team will lead the team.
Military Appreciation Day
• All current and former service men and women along with National Guard members and their families will receive complimentary tickets to the game thanks to the Community Hero Ticket Program. Members of the military may email their ticket requests in advance to the Troy Ticket Office at athletic-tickets@troy.eduor pick them on gameday at Riddle-Pace Field. Please note that you must have a game ticket in order to gain admission into the stadium.
• All fans are asked to arrive in their seats by 2 p.m. in order to enjoy the pregame festivities that include a giant American flag that covers the entire field as well as a pregame flyover by the "Trojan Warrior Spirit" C-130. There will also be a pregame enlistment ceremony.
• Retired Command Sgt. Maj. Bennie G. Adkins, a Troy alumnus and Medal of Honor recipient, will sign his book "A Tiger Among Us" at the Barnes & Noble Bookstore in the Trojan Center beginning at 11 a.m. Adkins will also serve as an honorary captain and his Medal of Honor coin will be used for the coin toss.
• Static displays of Vietnam-era Military Vehicles will be on location for fans to enjoy and interact with.
• Halftime will feature the Walk of Heroes as all veterans will be invited down to the field to take part in a special presentation in conjunction with the Sound of the South's halftime performance. This year's Walk of Heroes will feature a special recognition for Vietnam veterans.
Patriotic Troy Gear for Sale
Both ScreenTech and the Troy University Barnes & Noble Bookstore will have shirts and hats for sale featuring the Patriotic Power T that the Trojans will wear on their helmets during the game.
Troy Sports Radio Network Pregame Show
"Voice of the Trojans" Barry McKnight, game analyst Jerry Miller and sideline reporter Chris Blackshear will be on the air beginning at 12:30 p.m. to preview the game on the full Troy Sports Radio Network.
Tailgating with the Trojans
Troy's "Tailgating with the Trojans" show is back for a second season. Hosted by Troy University graduate Melanie Newman. The show will be released following every home game via Troy's social media accounts and will highlight all of the great tailgating that takes place during Troy football games.
Student Promotions
The first 1,000 Troy University students inside The Vet on Saturday will receive a free patriotic lanyard courtesy of Guardian Credit Union.
In-Game Host
Troy University graduate Melanie Newman will serve as the in-game host. Newman currently serves as a radio broadcaster for the Texas Rangers AA affiliate and has experience working with Major League Baseball, the Arizona Fall League, the Mobile BayBears and the ACC Network.
Parent and Family Weekend
Open to parents and family members of Troy University students, fans can purchase a $20 package that includes a game ticket, t-shirt and pregame tailgate. Tickets must be purchased by 5 p.m. Friday and can be ordered online at TroyTrojans.com/Tickets or by calling the Ticket Office at 877-878-WINS (9467). The tailgate begins at 11 a.m. in front of Cowart Hall on University Ave., and fans will be able to pick up their ticket and shirt at the event.

Youth football players and their families can purchase $8 tickets for the game by using the promo code YOUTH FOOTBALL online at TroyTrojans.com/Tickets or by calling the Ticket Office at 877-878-WINS (9467). Additionally, youth players in their jersey will be led on a parade around the field prior to the game … in order to participate, youth players are asked to meet at 1:15 p.m. at Gate 6.
