Troy Set for Sun Belt Football Media Day; Complete Appearance Schedule

NEW ORLEANS – The defending Sun Belt Conference champion Troy Trojans return to the site of their record setting performance in the 2017 R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl for Sun Belt Football Media Day at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Monday.

The event officially kicks off Sunday evening as student-athletes, coaches, media members and athletic administration officials participate in a traditional Fais Do-Do with famous Louisiana seafood and an authentic Zydeco music experience.

Sun Belt Coach of the Year Neal Brown will be joined by a pair of All-Sun Belt First Team selections in offensive lineman Deontae Crumitie and bandit Hunter Reese in New Orleans.Â

Troy's official Media Day schedule kicks off with a visit to Radio Row and "Voice of the Trojans" Barry McKnight at 9:05 a.m. on AM 740 in Montgomery. Some other highlights of the day include a live hit for Brown on ESPN3 at 1:15 p.m., Troy's time at the official podium at 2:30 p.m. and Reese's appearance on Sun Belt Media Day Live at 3:45 p.m. The Sun Belt will have complete coverage on its YouTube channel throughout the day (YouTube.com/SunBeltSports).

Troy was picked to finish second in the Sun Belt Conference East Division despite posting a league-high 11 selections to the Preseason All-Sun Belt Team. A remarkable seven Trojans from the defensive side of the football were named to preseason teams (first and second).
