Denison Selected to ABCA/Rawlings All-American Second Team

TROY, Alabama – The postseason honors keep rolling in for Troy senior Joey Denison, who was named a second team Rawlings All-American by the American Baseball Coaches Association Saturday.

A native of Troy, Denison was also named a Perfect Game All-American Wednesday following Collegiate Baseball All-American honors earlier this month. He was also named the Sun Belt Player of the Year, All-Sun Belt First Team and Athens Regional All-Tournament Team.

In 2018, he set a new school single-season RBI record with 81, while leading the conference and ranking second nationally in the category. The senior recorded 91 hits – seventh in the country – which is the fourth-most by any player in school history.

Earlier in the postseason, Denison became program's first All-American since Reid Long was selected to the freshman team in 2015 and the first upperclassman since 2013. He and Rigsby Mosley are the first upperclassmen/freshman duo to earn All-American honors in the same season in school history.
