Troy Track and Field Concludes Season at NCAA Prelims

Final Results
TAMPA, Florida – Troy outdoor track and field wrapped up its 2018 campaign by competing in the NCAA East Preliminaries hosted by South Florida this weekend.
The top finish from the Trojans came from Titus Sizemore, who leaped 2.06 meters in the high jump to finish in a tie for 16th. Troy's 4x100-meter relay team – consisting of Jared Hayes, Kewin Delis, Cameron Rice and Hakim Montgomery – closely followed Sizemore's finish with a 17th-place run of 39.86 seconds.
Troy's freshman duo of Jared Hayes and Amir Harris both reached the quarterfinals in their respective events. Hayes qualified with a time of 20.63 seconds in the 200-meter dash and finished 22nd overall, while Harris ran a 46.56 in the 400-meter and finished 24th.
Riley Schwietz and Jaevyn Wortham both finished in the top 30 of the women's javelin and discus, respectively. Schwietz threw the javelin 45.95 meters and finished 25th; Wortham tossed the discus 48.59 meters for a 29th-place finish.
Rounding out the Trojan competitors were Michael Alvernaz in the hammer, Hakim Montgomery in the 100 meters, Jovan Brown in the 400-meter hurdles and Precious Ogba in the 400 meters.
