Women’s Golf Readies for Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate

TROY, Alabama – Coming off its second-best finish of the year, the Troy women's golf team looks to keep its momentum going when it travels to the Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate hosted by App State at Mimosa Hills Country Club on Sunday and Monday.

Led by a pair of top-25 finished from Eva Fabricius-Bjerre and Bianca Lohbauer, Troy finished seventh at the Henssler Financial Invitational last weekend. Fabricius-Bjerre placed 11^th with a 6-over 222, including a round of 1-under, while Lohbauer tied for 23^rd thanks to a 1-over 73 in the final round.

"To see where we are now and knowing where we came from, it is really encouraging," head coach Randy Keck said. "We've really worked on changing the mindset and our attitude. We've done a lot of positive drill work where they could have some success and see some results – it's really paying off of the course."

The top three in Troy's lineup are all separated by a total of nine shots led by Sarah Harrison with a 76.37 stroke average followed by Lohbauer at 76.68 and Fabricius-Bjerre at 76.84. The trio have accounted for all five of Troy's rounds under par this season.

"Bianca has really worked on her swing mechanics, her posture and her back swing," Keck said. "She's in a better position to hit the ball straight and when she has a good putting round or two, she is going to win a tournament."

Keck will also turn to Lindsey Harrison (77.84) and Antonia Poate (79.84) to round out his lineup. Abby Parks will make her third appearance of the season as an individual.
