Troy Welcomes Little Rock On Saturday

TROY, Alabama. – With just three home games remaining in the 2017-18 season, Troy will look to put together a three-game winning streak with Little Rock coming to Trojan Arena on Saturday at 4:15 p.m.

A victory would give the Trojans (11-13, 5-6) the second three-game winning streak of the season, get Troy to a .500 conference record and just one game off a .500 overall record after the Trojans were able to rally on Thursday for an 89-83 overtime victory over Arkansas State.

In that game, Wesley Person hit two 3-pointers with a little more than a minute remaining to force overtime against the Red Wolves. His heroics were met by Javan Johnson as the freshman had a block at the rim with two seconds on the clock to force overtime.

Troy started overtime with a 9-0 run, which proved to be enough to hold on for the win. Person led the Trojans with 24 points while both Alex Hicks and Jordon Varnado had double-double efforts as Troy had five double-digit scorers on the night.

Little Rock (5-20, 2-10) has struggled in Wes Flaningan's second year as the visiting Trojans have lost nine of the past 10. The hard times continued after leading scorer Andre Jones was recently dismissed by the team for a violation of team rules.
