Troy Puts Winning Streak on Line

GAME NOTES
TROY, Alabama – Troy puts its four-game winning streak on the line when it welcomes Arkansas State on Thursday for a 5 p.m. tip in Trojan Arena.
The Trojans (11-10, 6-4 Sun Belt) defeated rival South Alabama on Saturday behind a clutch performance by sophomore Kayla Robinson. The Clyo, Ga., native became the first Trojan to each Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week honors two week in a row after dropping a career-high 28 points and 11 rebounds in the victory. Robinson single handedly outscored the Jaguars 17-15 in the fourth quarter. Troy continues to pace the league in scoring averaging 81.9 points per game.

Arkansas State (12-10, 7-4) is vastly improved after finishing last season 7-25. The Red Wolves have won three of their last four games including a road victory over Coastal Carolina, the only team to defeat Troy at home this season. Junior guard Akasha Westbrook leads the Sun Belt averaging 2.3 steal per game. ASU is fourth the league with 65.7 points per contest while allowing 69.9 per game.
