Bowling Green, Ky. – Troy men's basketball will hit the road to face Western Kentucky on Sunday. Tip is set for 2 p.m. and the game will be broadcast live on ESPN3.

The Trojans (4-5) cruised to a dominant record-setting 88-43 win over Carver College on Wednesday inside of Trojan Arena. The 43 points are the fewest allowed in Trojan Arena history and the 45-point victory is the largest margin of victory inside of Trojan Arena.

Freshman Zay Williams led the Trojans with a game- and career-high 14 points alongside a career-high tying six boards, a block and two steals off the bench. Senior Jordon Varnado followed behind Williams with 13 points on 5-of-7 (71.4 percent) shooting from the field, three rebounds and a steal in 16 turnover-free minutes.

Senior Jordon Varnado leads Troy averaging 15.7ppg, 11th in the Sun Belt Conference while senior Alex Hicks paces Troy with 7.4rpg, sixth in conference. Three other Trojans are averaging double figures in seniors BJ Miller (10.2) and Alex Hicks (11.3), and sophomore Javan Johnson (10.0).

Western Kentucky (5-4) stormed back from an eight-point halftime deficit to upset Arkansas 78-77 on Dec. 8 in Fayetteville, Ark. In the game, freshman Charles Bassey led the Hilltoppers nearly posting a double double in 21 points, nine rebounds and a career-high five blocks. Junior Jared Savage added 20 points on 5-of-7 shooting from behind the arc.

Sophomore Taveion Hollingsworth leads the team averaging 17.2ppg and 2.8apg while Bassey paces the team in rebounds per game averaging 9.6.

Series History
Sunday's contest marks the 18th contest between Troy and Western Kentucky. The Hilltoppers hold the advantage in the series, 10-7. Sunday marks the first matchup between the teams since WKU left the Sun Belt.

The last matchup was Feb. 13, 2014 where Troy dropped an 81-76 decision inside of E.A. Diddle Arena. In the game, then-senior Hunter Williams led the Trojans with 22 points on 6-of-10 shooting from behind the arc.
