TROY, Ala. – The Troy women's golf program bolstered its strong signing class with the addition of Brooklyn Bostick and Elisabeth Preus, two of the top prep golfers in Oklahoma and Alabama, head coach Randy Keck announced Wednesday.
Bostick helped lead Duncan (Okla.) High School to a pair of Oklahoma 5A state championships and turned in a third-place individual finish as a junior. She enters her senior season with four individual victories and 12 top-10 finishes in her prep career. Additionally, Bostick has six wins in PGA South Central Section competition and has guided Duncan HS to a trio of regional titles.
"Brooklyn is a great young lady with a tremendous work ethic and a love for the game," Keck said. "She is strong under pressure and grew up in a tradition rich golf environment. Her dad was a great player who played at Oklahoma State."
The third-ranked junior golfer in the state of Alabama, Preus helped lead Auburn High School to the 2018 Alabama 7A state title where she finished fourth individually. A member of the varsity squad since her seventh-grade year, Preus posted a 72-scoring average during her junior season.
Preus turned in four top-10 finishes and a pair of victories last season on the American Junior Golf Association circuit and picked up a pair of wins and two second-place finishes in four events on the Southeastern Junior Golf Tour in 2018.
"Elisabeth is one of the top-ranked players in Alabama and is a huge addition to our program," Keck said. "She will be a huge impact player the moment she steps on campus; she simply just knows how to win."
Bostick and Preus join Ainsley Cowart (Carrollton, Ga.) and Sarah Johnson (Flowood, Miss.) to comprise Troy's early signing class. All four student-athletes will join the program in the Fall of 2019.
