TROY, Ala. – Coming off a fall with mixed results, the Troy women's golf team looks to build some momentum heading into the winter break as the Trojans wrap their fall schedule with a trip the Idle Hour Collegiate Championship at the Idle Hour Golf and Country Club in Macon, Ga., on Monday and Tuesday.
The Trojans have a pair of third place finishes in two of their four tournaments in the fall while the other two events left head coach Randy Keck searching for more consistency.
"I've been really pleased with our progress this fall," head coach Randy Keck said. "We've been working hard and have learned a lot. We want to go out and play a consistent three rounds and finish the fall on a high note to build some momentum for the spring. We need to break out of our pattern this fall and put three rounds together to have a chance to win."
Freshman Nicole Lorup has led the Trojans in three of the four events with a pair of third-place individual finishes. She carries a 73.75 stroke average into the final event of the fall and is responsible for all three of Troy's under-par rounds this season.
Senior Bianca Lohbauer has a 75.83 average on the season with 11-of-12 rounds counting towards the team card, while Lindsey Harrison is not far behind with a 77.24 average. Freshman Camila Ugalde will make her collegiate debut for the Trojans and fellow freshman Anna Claire Little makes a return to the lineup. Judith Castro will also be in the field for the Trojans as an individual.
