Pittsburgh, Pa. – The Troy men's basketball team will conclude its two-game road trip with a 6 p.m. (CT) contest against Pittsburgh on Monday inside of Peterson Events Center in the Barclays Center Classic.

Troy suffered a tough 62-58 loss to St. Louis in Chaifetz Arena to kick off Troy's action in the Barclays Center Classic on Saturday. Senior Jordon Varnado led the way with a double double in 20 points and a career-high 15 rebounds. Senior BJ Miller added eight points with two assists and two steals.

Scouting Pittsburgh
Pitt is coming off a 94-55 win over VMI on Friday at home. The win allowed the Panthers to improve to 2-0 on the year. In the game, senior Jared Wilson-Frame led the way by coming off the bench and dropping 20 points. Freshmen Xavier added a double double in 14 points and 10 assists, while fellow freshman Au'Diese Toney scored 14 with eight rebounds.

Pitt is led by first-year head coach Jeff Capel who was hired in March. Pitt returns three starters from last season led by Wilson-Frame and sophomore duo Khameron Davis and Terrell Brown. The Panthers brought in five newcomers in four freshmen who have put up good numbers in two games so far and a graduate student.

Series History
Saturday's contest marks the first-ever between the two teams. Troy has compiled a 2-8 record against teams in the ACC with both wins coming against Georgia Tech. The last game against an ACC opponent came in the NCAA Tournament when Troy faced Duke in the first round.
