TROY, Alabama – On a sunny afternoon in Troy, the Trojans spent the day earning two home victories over Alabama A&M and Columbus State to get back above .500.

Troy (12-10) started off with a 4-1 win over Columbus State (16-2) by claiming the doubles point and only losing one of the six singles matches. Of the Trojans' three singles victories, only Jaiqi Duan needed more than two sets to win.

The second match of the day saw the Trojans earn a clean sweep over Alabama A&M (0-18). Troy won all three doubles matches and then followed that up by winning all six singles matches in two sets.

In the sweep over the Bulldogs, the Trojans had only two singles sets in which the opponent had more than two points in the set. Troy won the doubles matches 6-0, 6-1 and 7-5.

NOTEWORTHY
• Amer Bedwan became the first player to 20 wins on the season with a 6-1, 6-2 win in his singles match against Columbus State.

• Andy Lau and Jaiqi Duan both earned two singles victories on the day.
