Trojans Win Fourth-Straight Match 6-1 Over New Orleans

TROY, Alabama – The success at home continued as Troy men's tennis defeated New Orleans 6-1 on Sunday afternoon at the Lunsford Tennis Complex to win for the fourth-straight match.
The four-match winning streak marked the first time this season Troy (6-6) has done that after the Trojans had two streaks of four or more wins last season.
Little could go wrong for Troy on the afternoon as the home squad won five of six singles matches and two of three doubles matches.
It was a dominant outing for Andy Lau as the senior increased his own winning streak to four matches after topping Federico Boscarino 6-2 in straight sets.
He was one of three Trojans to win in two sets as he was joined by fellow victors Pablo Moreno and Amer Bedwan. Lau and Moreno won their doubles match 6-4 while Andre Baldo and Shaaz Peerani prevailed 7-5 in their match.
NOTEWORTHY
• The Trojans have now climbed back up to 6-6 on the season after getting off to a 2-6 start.
• Amer Bedwan has yet to lose a singles dual match as the freshman moved to 9-0 to start the season.
