TROY, Alabama – Troy will compete in Trojan Arena for the first time in nearly three weeks with a 6 p.m. matchup against Jacksonville on Friday.

The Trojans (3-1) rebounded from their first loss of the season – a 96-93 defeat at Ole Miss – with a resounding 95-66 victory at Tennessee State on Monday. Troy forced a program record 48 turnovers in the contest leading to 56 points. Sky'Lynn Holmes posted her second consecutive double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds, while Amber Rivers continues to pace the offense with 14.5 points per game.

Jacksonville (4-3) is looking to bounce back from a 69-59 defeat at Florida on Tuesday. The Dolphins are led by senior guard Brandi Buie with 12.1 points per game. Buie torched the Trojans for 27 points in last year's meeting between the schools. Kayla Gordan leads the Atlantic Sun with 9.6 rebounds per contest while Jacksonville ranks eighth in the NCAA with 42 blocked shots.

PEDIATRIC CANCER AWARENESS
Six-year-old Kaleb Jones, a New Brockton, Ala., native, will serve as honorary coach for Friday's game. Jones was diagnosed with a Stage III Wilms tumor that covered over three-fourths of one of his kidneys. Kaleb received chemotherapy and radiation treatments for seven months and has since continued his visits with his oncologist every three months. In September, Kaleb received the news that he has been cancer free for five years and is now considered cured. Kaleb will celebrate his seventh birthday in February.

ABOUT THE OPPONENT
Jacksonville played its second Southeastern Conference (SEC) opponent of the season in Tuesday's 69-59 setback at Florida. The Dolphins trailed by 22 points with 5:17 remaining in the third quarter, and pulled within eight in the final minute of the game. With the score at 61-44, Jacksonville began to make its run, scoring 13 of the next 17 points.
Second chance efforts allowed the Gators to pull away in the second quarter as 11 of their first half rebounds were offensive, and the extra opportunities led to 13 points. Brandi Buie the Dolphin contingent in scoring with a season-high 25 points.

• Janiah Sandifer is one of seven players in the nation to have a perfect FT percentage (min. 2.5 attempts per game). The freshman is 11-of-11 from the charity stripe through four games this season.
