Troy Runs Away With Win at Tennessee State

NASHVILLE, Tennessee – The Troy women's basketball team forced a program record 48 turnovers and registered 25 steals – second-most in school history – en route to a 95-66 win over Tennessee State in the Gentry Center on Monday.
Harriet Winchester led the Trojans (3-1) with 17 points while Sky'Lynn Holmes posted her second consecutive double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds to go along with a game-high five assists.
The Trojans led the entire game and dominated in the paint outscoring the Tigers 54-30. Troy entered the game eighth in the nation averaging 91.7 points and has eclipsed 88 points in each game this season.
Kayla Robinson scored 12 points, her third double-digit performance this season. Amanda Mendoza chipped in with 11 points.
Troy got off nearly double to number of shots as Tennessee State (0-4) firing 92 attempts while holding its opponent to just 55 tries. The Trojans shot a 42 percent clip including eight 3-pointers.

Troy returns home for the first time in two weeks on Friday as the team hosts Jacksonville at 6 p.m. The Dolphins came away with a 77-70 win last season.

• The Trojans scored 56 points off off turnovers. Tennessee State scored just 13.
