Troy Set for Clash with Ole Miss

TROY, Alabama – Troy plays the second leg of a three-game road stretch on Tuesday facing off against Ole Miss at 2 p.m. at The Pavilion at Ole Miss.

The Trojans (2-0) have averaged 91.0 points per game in its two wins this season. Amber Rivers is coming off a career performance last Thursday when she scored 24 points and posted 10 rebounds for her first career double-double. Harriet Winchester is eighth in the nationally averaging 4.5 steals per contest.

Ole Miss (3-1) been on fire from three in the early part of this season, as they currently lead the SEC with a .419 clip from beyond the arc and rank fifth in the nation with 39 treys. Seven different Rebels have drained threes this season.

Ole Miss split at the Maggie Dixon Classic hosted by DePaul this past weekend, dropping a 79-64 contest against Saint Louis before putting on an offensive clinic vs. Delaware State with a 110-58 win – the third-most points scored in program history. Overall, the Rebels shot .473 during the tournament, which included an 89 combined points from senior Shandricka Sessom and junior Madinah Muhammad.

• Troy is ranked eighth nationally with 22 offensive rebounds per game, which the team has converted into 53 second-chance pts. Last year, the Trojans led the country in offensive boards with 20 per contest.
