Conference Leader Georgia Southern Visits Monday

TROY, Alabama – Troy men's basketball will be home in Trojan Arena with a contest against Georgia Southern on Monday at 7 p.m. There will be a video stream on ESPN3 with the call by Ali Forbes and Barry McKnight and also a radio stream on TroyTrojans.com. with Doug Amos and Jerry Miller.

Following Saturday's 78-72 loss to Georgia State, Monday's contest will be a crucial game to try to remain in the middle of the pack in Sun Belt play.

The Trojans earned a key 78-69 win on the road last Monday against Little Rock, but that momentum stalled out on Saturday against Georgia State. Though Troy shot 44 percent from the floor, Georgia State outpaced the Trojans by shooting 55.2 percent.

It was another stellar home performance from Wesley Person in the defeat. Person had 25 points on the night on seven 3-pointers. The seven 3-pointers were the second-highest of his career after hitting 10 against UT Arlington on Jan. 14.

Monday's game will be the second time this season the two teams have met. Â The pair previously played on Jan. 7 in Statesboro, Ga. Where the Eagles earned a 86-82 home win in the second game of conference play.
