Trojans Set Sights on Georgia State

TROY, Alabama – The Troy women's basketball team plays the middle game of a three-game home stand on Saturday as it hosts Georgia State. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m.

The game, along with the men's game which is set to follow, is free to children 12 and under with a general admission ticket.

The Trojans (14-5, 7-1 SBC) defeated Georgia Southern 77-67 on Thursday to earn their eighth victory in nine games. With the win, the team matched its best start in program history set during the 1996-97 season when it finished 23-7 and earned its first even NCAA Tournament bid.

Troy entered the game leading the nation with 20 offensive rebounds per game and lived up to the hype with 19 in the contest. For the game, the Trojans hauled in 49 boards. Caitlyn Ramirez and Jayla Chills each scored 19 points while Chill posted 10 rebounds to turn in her second double-double of the season.

Georgia State (6-13, 2-6) enters the game fresh off a 55-45 win over South Alabama snapping a six-game losing streak.
