TROY, Alabama – The Troy women's basketball continues Sun Belt Conference play at Trojan Arena on Thursday as Georgia Southern visits for a 6 p.m. tip.

After suffering its first Sun Belt defeat of the season in a 77-74 verdict at Little Rock, Troy (13-5, 6-1 SBC) rebounded to knock off Arkansas State, 83-75, on Saturday. Caitlyn Ramirez (19 points, 18 rebounds) and ArJae' Saunders (18, 10) became the first Trojan duo to record a double-double in the same game since Ronita Garrett and Ashley Beverly Kelley against Alabama State in 2014. Ramirez is averaging 17.3 points and 13.5 rebounds over the last four games and has posted a double-double in the last two contests.

Last time out against Georgia Southern, the Trojans allowed a 20-point, third-quarter lead to dwindle to just two before edging out the 89-86 victory. The Eagles (7-11, 3-4) have won two straight and three of their last four. Led by Patrice Butler (15.2 ppg, 6.8 rpg) – who scored 24 in the Jan. 7 meeting between the teams – Georgia Southern looks to improve on its 2-6 record away from Hanner Fieldhouse.
