Troy Falls 5-2 to N.C. State

RALEIGH, N.C. – In the first true away match of the season, Troy fell 5-2 to N.C. State on Friday afternoon.
Things went well at the start of the dual match as Troy won two of three doubles matches. Andre Baldo and Hassan Ndayishimiye won 6-3 and Filip Mansson and Austine Racine won 6-4, but that would be near the end of the victories for the Trojans (2-2) on the day.
The Wolfpack came into today's play with two players ranked in the ITA singles rankings and those players made their mark. No. 37 Nick Horton defeated Ndayishimiye 6-1, 7-5 while No. 103 Alexis Galarneau prevailed 6-1, 6-0 over Mustapha Belcora.
The only singles win of the day was Amer Bedwan. The freshman won 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-8). Andy Lau was the closest to winning, but he went down 7-6 (7-2), 6-3.
NOTEWORTHY
• The loss on Friday means that Troy has alternated wins and losses to start the season en route to going 2-2.
• The freshman Amer Bedwan is the only undefeated player left on Troy's roster. He has gotten off to a 3-0 start to begin his dual match career.
