QUOTABLE
"We have to do a better job of being prepared in every aspect." Sonny Kirkpatrick said. "It's apparent that the last two matches, we as a coaching staff did not have our team ready. They need to do a better job of being mentally prepared to compete at a high level. This is Division I athletics and what we did today is totally unacceptable."

UT Arlington began the third set with three straight points and never looked back as there were no ties or lead changes in the third set, which clinched the match for the Mavericks.
STAT OF THE MATCH
14 of 15 players played for the Trojans, including six freshmen. The freshman class that played combined recorded 13 kills, 13 assists, four total blocks, seven digs and two service aces in the match.
