Troy Volleyball Hosts Southeastern Louisiana for Home Opener

TROY, Alabama – The Troy volleyball team hosts Southeastern Louisiana at Trojan Arena on Tuesday night at 6 p.m., for the home opener of the 2016 season.

The Trojans (1-2) return home after dropping two out of three matches at the DoubleTree Hotel Buccaneer Challenge in Johnson City, Tenn. Troy won its opening match of the 2016 season after falling behind two sets to none, but fell in the final two matches of the tournament in a couple of 3-0 losses.

NOTEWORTHY
• Symone Shaw and Sara Landis lead the team in kills with 27 each.
• Reina Terry leads the team in assists with 45, including 5.62 assists per set.
• Two seniors in Leah Causey and Sara Landis have 21 total blocks already this season.
• Southeastern Louisiana holds a 6-1 series lead over the Trojans and won the last meeting between the two schools last year 3-1.
• Troy has won five out of the last six home openers and is on a three-game home opening win streak, dating back to 2013.
