Troy Women's Tennis Travels to Auburn

TROY, Alabama – The Troy women's tennis team will travel to No. 40 Auburn for a Saturday match at 5 p.m., then stay in Auburn for a neutral court match against UT Martin on Sunday at 12 p.m. Troy was scheduled to play its home opener on Friday against Alabama State, but that match has been moved to Wednesday, February 17.
Troy (3-1) has won three straight matches, all on the road in Florida. Last weekend Troy got a pair of 4-3 wins over former Sun Belt foes, beating FIU and Florida Atlantic.
Sanae Ohta, Efriliya Herlina and Nancy Karaky are all 3-1 in singles play to lead the Trojans, playing at No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5, respectively, in the lineup. Herlina grabbed the Trojans' highest ranked win, beating No. 69 Nerma Caluk of FIU last weekend.
Auburn (3-1) beat Samford last weekend at home in its most recent match. Prior to that, the Tigers played in the ITA Kick-Off Weekend, beating Michigan State before falling at Miami.
UT Martin (0-2) opened its season last weekend with a pair of 7-0 losses against Tennessee and Western Michigan.
Following the two matches this weekend, the Trojans will return to the road next weekend to take on Winthrop and South Carolina State.
