Troy (10-5, 5-1) beat UT Arlington, 88-71, and Texas State, 112-79, at Trojan Arena last Thursday and Saturday, respectively. The win over Texas State marked Troy's fifth 100-point game this season and its most points ever scored in a Sun Belt game. Troy had five score in double figures and used a 36-point second quarter to blow open the game.
          Â
The win upped Troy's scoring average to 87.1 points per game, the second highest in the nation, behind only UConn. The Trojans have scored over 75 points in seven straight games, a first for the program since 1996-97, its lone NCAA Tournament season.
          Â
Troy forced 22 turnovers against Texas State to spark the offense and is forcing 23.6 turnovers per game, the sixth best mark in the NCAA. Troy has forced all but one opponent into at least 17 turnovers and is scoring an average of 26.6 points per game off turnovers.
          Â
Ashley Beverly Kelley led the Trojans against Texas State with 22 points, moving her career total to 1,621 points, the most in Troy's 23-years of Division I basketball. Beverly Kelley has scored 20-plus in five straight games and leads the Sun Belt in scoring in all games (20.3 ppg) and in Sun Belt games (23.2 ppg).
          Â
The recently named Senior CLASS Award candidate and reigning Sun Belt Student-Athlete of the Week also ranks third in assists with 4.4 per game and second in steals with 2.9 per game in the Sun Belt.
          Â
ArJae' Saunders was Troy's second leading scorer against Texas State with 16 points, and did that just two days after scoring a career-high 19 against UT Arlington. Caitlyn Ramirez is Troy's second leading scorer on the season with 12.5 points per game, ranking 11th in the Sun Belt.
          Â
After four straight games on the road, ULM (7-8, 1-5) returns home for the first time since a New Year's Eve loss to Appalachian State. The Warhawks are coming off of a dramatic, 50-49, win at Georgia Southern on Saturday. Daja Chase hit a runner with 0.7 seconds remaining to give ULM its first Sun Belt win of the season.
Â
The Warhawks, under second-year head coach Jeff Dow, are led by senior forward Alayshia Hunter, the Sun Belt's third leading scorer at 16.5 points per game. Her 7.0 rebounds rank in the league's top 10, but behind Chase, who at 5-foot-10 ranks second in the Sun Belt with 8.6 rebounds per game.
Â
ULM leads the all-time series over Troy, 13-5, but Troy won both of last season's meetings, including its first win Fant-Ewing Coliseum since 2007-08. In that game, Troy scored a season-low 21 points in the first half before a season-high 61 in the second half of an 82-77 win. Troy then forced ULM into 39 turnovers in a 90-51 win at Trojan Arena in the second meeting of the season.
