NCAA Selection Show Viewing Parties set for Women’s Golf & Men’s Tennis

TROY, Alabama – The Sun Belt Conference champion women's golf and men's tennis teams are heading to the NCAA Regionals and both programs will host viewing parties next week to celebrate the announcing of the tournament fields.
The women's golf team won its second consecutive Sun Belt title as they battled rain and adverse conditions en route to a 12-stroke victory over Texas State. Under the direction of reigning Sun Belt Coach of the Year Bart Barnes, the Trojans became just the second Troy program to win back-to-back Sun Belt titles.
Fans are invited to join the women's golf team at Sweet Racks Rib Shack on the square in downtown Troy beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The selection show will air live on the Golf Channel from 6-7 p.m.
The men's tennis team entered the Sun Belt Championships as the No. 1 seed and did not disappoint as they defeated rival South Alabama 4-1 to claim Troy's second men's tennis championship in the past six years. Sun Belt Coach of the Year Scott Kidd led the Trojans to a program record 25 wins and a No. 53 national ranking.
The NCAA Men's Tennis Selection Show will air live on NCAA.com beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Due to the Trojan Tribute Award Show that evening, the selection show party will take place in the third floor conference room of Hawkins Hall.
