Â
Troy (18-9, 13-5) enters Saturday's game on a six-game winning streak thanks to its 75-59 win at Texas State on Thursday. Troy led by just three at halftime, but opened the second half on a 13-0 run and never looked back, holding Texas State to 25 percent shooting in the second half.
          Â
The win guaranteed Troy at least a tie for third in the Sun Belt standings and also tied the program record of 13 conference wins in a season. With two regular season games still to play, Troy can record just the fourth 20-win season in the program's 40 year history with a pair of wins.
          Â
Garrett led the Trojans at Texas State as she posted 24 points and 12 rebounds, marking her 19th double-double of the season, the most in the Sun Belt and seventh most in the NCAA. She ranks fourth in the Sun Belt in scoring (16.0 ppg) and first in rebounding (11.2 rpg).
          Â
Ashley Beverly-Kelley enters as the Trojans' leading scorer, ranking second in the Sun Belt in overall scoring (18.0 ppg) and first in scoring in league games (20.5 ppg). She has scored 20-plus points in seven of her last nine games, including an NCAA Division I leading 46 three games ago.
          Â
As a team, Troy is averaging a Sun Belt best 76.6 points per game (18th in NCAA). Troy also leads the league in assists (14.7 apg), rebounds (43.3 rpg), opponent turnovers (22.8/g, 4th in NCAA) and steals (12.1 spg, 4th in NCAA).
          Â
Georgia State (12-14, 7-10) is coming off of a 56-39 loss at UALR on Thursday. The Panthers trailed 33-31 at halftime, but scored just eight second-half points. GSU had won four of its previous five games, but now sits in a three-way tie for the final two spots in the Sun Belt Championships.
GSU leads the all-time series over Troy, 22-7, but the Trojans have won the last two, including a 96-87 victory earlier this season in Atlanta. Coleman led the Trojans in that game with a career-high tying 27 points, thanks in large part to hitting 6-of-7 from deep.
Â
Following Saturday's contest, Troy will have a week before it closes its regular season at South Alabama on Saturday, March 7. The Trojans will then travel to the New Orleans for the Sun Belt Championships, which begin on Wednesday, March 11.
