Women’s Golf in Second Place at Blue Raider Invitational

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Troy women's golf team is in second place at the Blue Raider Invitational; play was suspended Monday at the Old Fort Golf Club in the second round due to darkness.
Fátima Fernández Cano leads the Trojans as she sits in a tie for eighth place at 7-over par through 15 holes in the second round, while Bianca Lohbauer is tied for 17th place (+9), Gabi Oube is tied for 20th (+10), Becca Horner is tied for 31st (+12) and Kalyn Hudson is tied for 42nd (+14).
Host Middle Tennessee holds a 25-shot lead over Troy thanks to a strong second round. The Blue Raiders only led the Trojans by eight shots after the first round, but are just 3-over as a team in the second round. Troy is two shots ahead of Western Kentucky and five shots up on Tennessee Tech.
Teams will complete the second round beginning at 7:30 a.m. with the third and final round scheduled to begin at approximately 9:15 a.m.
