Women’s Golf Battles No. 22 Iowa State

ATHENS, Ga. – The Troy women's golf team fell 3-1 to No. 22 Iowa State on the final day of the Liz Murphey Classic at the UGA Golf Course. The Trojans defeated No. 50 Georgia on Saturday and suffered a close defeat to No. 23 Texas A&M later that afternoon.
Taylor McGraw defeated Carmen Vidau 2-and-1 to score her second victory during match play after a 3-and-2 victory over Georgia's Amelia Hill. Brooke Spinks did not finish her match with Chonladad as the pair were battling neck-and-neck towards the end of the round.
Langley Vannoy, who picked up a 2-and-1 victory against Georgia, fell in a tight 2-and-1 match with Prima Thammaraks.
The Trojans now turn their attention to the Sun Belt Conference Championships next week in Loxley, Ala. Troy is currently ranked third in the Sun Belt based on the Golf Stat rankings behind only Georgia State and Texas State.
