TROY, Ala. – Former Troy slugger Danny Collins has been named Alabama Baseball Coaches Association 2013 Player of the year as announced on Friday. Collins will be honored at the 19th Annual AlaBCA Banquet on Jan. 17 in Birmingham.

Playing both third base and right field during his two-year career as a Trojan, Collins posted a .339 career batting average scoring 103 runs while driving in 120.
