Troy Notebook: Robinson has Knack for Distributing Football

Quarterback Corey Robinson has connected with 18 different receivers for touchdown passes in his career. The most recent came in the third quarter against Duke when Robinson found Wilson Van Hooser for a 40-yard strike.
Robinson has thrown 71 touchdown passes in his time at Troy and 10 this season. The senior from Paducah, Ky., has also tossed 26 non-conference TD passes.
Chunn getting it done
Freshman running back Jordan Chunn found the end zone twice against Duke becoming the first Trojan to do so on the ground since Deon Anthony did so against Navy last season.
Chunn now has five rushing touchdowns on the season to lead the team in the category.
Davis' first pick
Chris Davis intercepted the first pass of his career against Duke. It was also the first career interception by a member of Troy's secondary.
Linebacker Eli Canton returned an interception for a touchdown against Savannah State earlier this season.
Safety Chris Pickett scooped up a fumble and returned it 63 yards for a touchdown against Middle Tennessee in 2011. He also had a fumble recovery against Bowling Green in 2010.
Got to start somewhere
Five game into the season, 37 players have made their Troy debuts this season. 19 saw their first action against UAB then 17 more against Savannah State.
Defensive back Jeremy Spikner played his first game for the Trojans against Duke to add his name to the lengthy list.
Troy has also played 12 true freshmen this season, which is tied for the eighth most in the country.
Second half kick start
The Trojans have outscored opponents 82-52 in the second half this season. Troy has owned the fourth quarter outscoring its opposition 34-17.
All told, the Trojans have put up 141 points while opponents have scored 137.
