OXFORD, Miss. – The Troy women's golf team fired a team score 308, four strokes better than Friday's opening round, to complete day two of the M&F Bank Rebel Intercollegiate on Saturday at the Ole Miss Golf Course.
Sofia Bjorkman turned in a two-over par, 74, one stroke better than Friday's round. The senior made the turn at one-over and bogeyed three times, but bounced back with back-to-back birdies on the eighth and ninth to finish the round at 74 tied for 27th entering Sunday's final 18 holes.
Sydney Conrad finished with Troy's second-best score on the day with a four-over par, 76. Like Bjorkman, Conrad made the turn at just one-over, and sat at just two-over heading into the final hole before carding double bogey to finish the day at four-over tied for 71st entering Sunday.
Sara Fennvik and Langley Vannoy both finished at seven-over on the day, while Fennvik sits tied for 73rd at 14-over, and Vannoy tied for 76th at 15-over.
Brooke Spinks shot a 10-over par, 82, to bring her two round total to 160 entering Sunday's final round.
Baylor's Hayley Davis carded a three-under, 69, to hold a one stroke advantage in the field of individuals, while Coastal Carolina holds a six stroke lead over Tulane entering Sunday.
Sunday's round is slated for an 8 a.m. shotgun start with live scoring available through www.GolfStat.com.
