Trojans Host Rematch Against UALR

TROY, Ala. – After dropping three straight games, the Troy men's basketball team (5-10, 0-4) will take the court on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. in a rematch against UALR (9-7, 3-2) at Trojan Arena. The game will be part of a double-header, as the women's team will also face UALR, at 5:15 p.m.

The Trojans were defeated at North Texas on Thursday night, falling to 0-4 in the Sun Belt. Westley Hinton had his best game this season, scoring 13 points and grabbing nine rebounds, mostly in the first half. Ray Chambers battled back spasms to score 11 points and grab eight boards, while Hunter Williams scored 10 points off the bench.

Williams and Emil Jones lead the team in scoring, at 9.6 points per game. Antoine Myers is right behind them at 9.5 points per game. Jones and Chambers are each averaging 6.3 boards per contest, while Myers is dishing out 3.3 assists per game.

UALR defeated Western Kentucky on Thursday, snapping a three game losing streak. Leroy Isler led the Trojans with 13 points, while Michael Javes and Ben Dillard each scored in double-figures. Will Neighbour currently leads UALR with 11.2 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.

Troy is 4-6 all-time against UALR, losing the matchup earlier this season in Little Rock, Ark., 58-56. Troy led by as many as 10 points in that game, but came up short in the second half. Williams dished out a career-high seven assists to go along with a team-high 11 points. Chambers tore down 11 rebounds, including seven offensive boards.
