DALLAS, Texas (NCBWA.com) - The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association continued its tradition of NCAA Division I polls for the 12th year with its 2011 weekly surveys. This season's polls have been circulated from Feb. 21-June 30 following the NCAA World Series in Omaha.
This is the final poll of the year and '11 after South Carolina of the Southeastern Conference won back-to-back NCAA baseball championships on June 28 by sweeping Florida in the title round.
The poll voters come from 40 college baseball writers and related media persons from throughout the nation.
The final poll has representation by 11 different conferences among the 300 baseball-playing schools in the 2011 NCAA Division I ranks, and five different schools have held down the No. 1 position. There have been 17 separate leagues among the Top 30 in the '11 poll, and six different schools - TCU, UCLA, Florida, Vanderbilt, Virginia, and South Carolina – held down the No. 1 position in the NCBWA surveys.

The first 2012 NCBWA DI poll will be released in Jan. 2012.
