Trojan Baseball Alumni Weekend Set

Dear Trojan Baseball Alumni,
All of us here at Troy University are extremely excited to host the 2009 Trojan Baseball Alumni Weekend during Homecoming (October 23-25). Last years event was a huge success and we hope to continue with that momentum as we plan for this year's alumni weekend.
In the future, our plans are to host this event every two years. That format is currently what many programs are doing in order to enhance the turnout for those who travel. This will also coincide with our Trojan Baseball Hall of Fame Induction ceremonies future schedule.
This year's prestigious inductees are former Trojans Danny Breeden, our first documented Major Leaguer, and Wade Miller, a Trojan All-American and four-year starter during his record-setting career. On the support side of our Hall of Fame, we will be honoring Terry and Shannon Collins, who have been instrumental to the growth of Troy University, the Department of Athletics and, most importantly, the Trojan baseball program.
Please join us on Saturday morning for our Hall of Fame breakfast and induction ceremony to honor all those being inducted from this year's class. In addition, please take the time to thank the committee members who are all Hall of Famers: Coach Chase Riddle, Robert Earl Stewart (former AD), Ralph Black (former radio broadcaster), Mr. Homer Anderson (longtime community leader and supporter), and former players Ron Pierce, Wendell Stephens and Mark Smartt for their contributions as committee members.
We welcome any suggestions, recommendations or nominations for future Hall of Fame considerations. Records of our baseball history are scarce working back from the 70's so any information from early eras is especially appreciated.
Again, we are looking forward to this year's event. Help us spread the word. Call, email, text and encourage everyone to go to this site, fill out the information and plan to be a part of this great weekend.

TROJAN WARRIORS
A fundraising arm of the athletic department that helps supplement athletic programs outside the state approved budgeting process. It has become the primary resource for athletic programs to raise money to enhance each program and further develop the players, facilities and other important aspects of the programs.
The unique feature as a Trojan Warrior will be to earmark your donation directly to the baseball program. Each dollar committed through Trojans Warriors will be available for our program to enhance all aspects of the baseball program. Please strongly consider making a commitment to the Trojan Warriors effort and take the first step in supporting YOUR program.
There are several additional reasons to become a Trojan Warrior and we encourage you to learn more by contacting the athletic department or viewing the information online through our website. We also plan to provide further details about the program during the Alumni Weekend.
"T" CLUB
Get involved with the "T" Club, an organization that includes all former Trojan athletes, regardless of sport or year.
This group is becoming more organized and we meed more baseball representation (at present, it is represented more with former football players). Plan to visit them at their tent located beside the Alumni House on Highland Avenue (directly across from the football stadium main gates) during this or any home football game.
Eric Mizell is the leader of this group and has indicated that he would love to have more former athletes from all sports participating in the group. Please make the effort to learn more and consider joining this support group of Trojan Athletics!
